Welcome to Ahmed's Nation!
Ahmed is a Sudanese-Palestinian poet who fled the Sudanese Civil War in 2023. He now finds himself trapped in Gaza, where he uses poetry and social media to share the harsh realities of life under siege. Through Ahmed's Nation, he hopes to create connection and community worldwide.

Poetry as a Form of Advocacy
Ahmed resumed writing poetry after becoming trapped in Gaza, using his poems as a means of advocating for himself and his family online.
After building a presence on social media. Ahmed realized that his poetry has the power to connect people and mobilize them to advocate for a common cause. This is where Ahmed's Nation was bom.

507th Day
I woke up reminiscing today,
On the life we've left behind
In my beloved home, in Sudan,
So far from where we are today.

Poetry as a Documentary Tool
Ahmed transforms his observations of life in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, into powerful verse. Through the lens of his lived experiences, he seeks to connect with his environment to make sense of the world. Ahmed's formative years in Sudan have proven to be a large influence on his work, changing his outlook on community building and human connection.
